Ulitskogo Street in Pinsk is located in the southwestern part of the historic city center and has an ancient history. It once bore the name Zamkovaya (Castle Street), as it led to the Upper Castle, which was situated on Zamkovaya Hill. Later, in the 19th century, when a new street (now Sovetskaya) was cut through the hill, the significance of this route changed, and it became known as Malaya Zamkovaya (Little Castle Street). At the corner with modern-day Lenina Street, the historic Bristol Hotel building (No. 13/26), built in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, has been preserved. This building, in an eclectic style with elements of Art Nouveau and Gothic, until recently housed one of the faculties of Polesie University. The main entrance of the hotel was decorated with a bas-relief of a "flying crane" — one version of the old coat of arms of Pinsk. Also on Ulitskogo Street, the former pharmacy, built in 1928–1929 in the functionalist style (No. 12), and a number of other historic buildings have been preserved, creating the authentic atmosphere of the old town.
